Use of a TU Graz email address

Because you lose your email address with the end of your employment at TU Graz (exception: alumni addresses) it does not make sense to use TU addresses as recovery or access addresses at other services.
At the latest, when you know that you can no longer use your TU address, you should therefore change recovery addresses to an address that you will not lose, and it then makes sense to protect this very important address (which can be used to access many other accounts via "Forgot password?") via 2FA. If you use 2FA with your smartphone, you have to keep in mind that you still have access if you change the SIM card or the smartphone.

You should not set up forwarding to external addresses (if technically possible at all), as you may unintentionally violate the GDPR if, for example, you transmit special categories of personal data (such as an employee's sick note) to servers in the USA through this (automatic) forwarding.
