Plain Text Messages

There are a number of (security) reasons why plain text messages should be preferred to HTML messages.

Monospaced Font

If you read emails as plain text (good HTML emails always offer a plain text variant and do not only link to a web page as alternative to the HTML version), you should set a font with fixed width (e. g. Courier), so that tables are displayed better readable:

  January: 134,50 EUR
+ February: 3,00 EUR
+ March: 12,10 EUR
----------------------
= Total: 149,60 EUR

Kind regards

Without monospaced fonts (= fonts with fixed width) this would look like

January: 134,50 EUR
+ February: 3,00 EUR
+ March: 12,10 EUR
----------------------
= Total: 149,60 EUR
Kind regards
